Serundeng Chicken With Onions Recipe (Yield 10 Servings)


  • 10 Pcs Chicken Drumstick
  • ½ Pcs Lime
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • Spices:
  • 2 Tbsp Coriander
  • 10 Pcs Candlenut
  • 4 Clove Garlic
  • 40 Gr Galangal
  • 5 Cm Turmeric
  • 1 Sachet Shrimp Paste, Optional
  • 60 Ml Oil
  • 50 Ml Water


  • 1 Pcs Lemongrass, Pounded
  • 3 Pcs Bay Leaf
  • 3 Pcs Kaffir Lime Leaf
  • 10 Clove Garlic
  • 10 Pcs Shallot
  • 300 Ml Water
  • ½ Tbsp Mushroom Stock Powder
  • ⅓ Tsp Pepper
  • Sambal Ingredients:
  • 70 Gr Green Thai Chili
  • 4 Pcs Shallot
  • 2 Sachet Shrimp Paste, Roasted
  • 1 Pcs Kaffir Lime
  • 1 Pcs Red Tomato
  • ¼ Tsp Salt
  • ¼ Tsp Msg
  • ½ Tbsp Sugar


  • Rice
  • Cucumber
  • Lemon Basil

1. Mix the chicken with lime juice and salt and marinate for a moment.
